Now, let me be real for a sec… Last weekend, I had to cancel class because I got seriously sick—ended up in the ER with an extremely high fever, on IVs, in so much pain. That experience was a hard reminder that grinding for the future means nothing if I don’t take care of myself to actually enjoy it.
So, in the spirit of taking care of ourselves, here are 3 ways artists can rest & relieve stress before burnout hits:
✨ Creative Playtime – Doodle or color for fun, no pressure. Play with colors, experiment—make art just for you.
✨ Move Your Body – Stretch, dance, go for a walk. A change of pace refreshes creativity and clears the mind.
✨ Unplug & Be Still – Step away from screens. Meditate, take deep breaths, let your mind wander without distractions.
I’ve also been dealing with that wild federal email (yep, that one Lord help us), and it threw my nervous system into chaos. But I’m channeling all of this into my art—so expect to see more Color & Heal sessions and a new personal art series from me.
Also, keep an eye out for pop-up TikTok & YouTube Lives throughout the week. I’m tweaking my schedule and figuring out what works best.
Oh, and one last thing—my new goal? Be so wealthy I never have to sit in a waiting room in pain again. That’s abundance to me. 💰✨
